Welcome To Train Now,
Live Later
Train now, live later: securing your health and your future.
“Train Now, Live Later” is my wellness and training service for people in their mid-life who want to secure lasting physical and mental health. My personal motivation is as a result of my father being diagnosed with Vascular Dementia. Having done a lot of research, I have found that low activity levels or sedentary living is a major precursor to similar Dementia diagnoses. My mission is to help you build the habits, strength, and resilience today which will allow you to live a fuller, more active, and independent life as you age, decreasing the chances of the development of associated conditions, including Dementia.
Regular, moderate physical activity during mid-life is one of the most powerful ways to protect your body and mind as you enter your later years. Scientific research from Alzheimer’s Society, Dementia UK, and other leading health organisations shows that starting now means living better, longer, and happier.
Why should I start now?
Protect Your Brain: Lower Dementia Risk
- Regular physical activity in mid-life can reduce your risk of developing dementia by up to 20% compared to those who are inactive.
- Sustained activity in your 40s, 50s, and 60s has the strongest effect—studies show a 40% lower risk of dementia for those who stay active.
- A year of regular exercise can increase the size of your brain’s memory centres, reversing 1–2 years of age-related shrinkage.
- Not just sports! Everyday activities like brisk walking, gardening, and even housework count towards your brain health.
Leg Strength = longevity
- Stronger legs mean a longer, healthier life: Adults with strong legs have up to a 50% lower risk of death compared to those with weaker muscles.
- Better mobility, balance, and independence: Maintaining leg strength reduces your risk of falls, disability, and hospitalisations as you age.
- Brain benefits:
- Slower brain aging, better cognitive function and increased brain volume preservation, resulting in enhanced cognitive health.
- Reduced risk of all-cause mortality.
- Improved independence.
- 30% less likely to experience mobility-related disability.
Full body wellness
- Boost your energy: Regular exercise increases stamina and reduces fatigue.
- Sleep better: Moderate activity improves sleep quality and duration.
- Feel happier: Exercise reduces depression, anxiety, and stress, and increases endorphins.
- Prevent disease: Lower your risk of heart disease, diabetes and osteoporosis.
