Welcome To Train Now,
Live life

Train now, live life: securing your health and your future.

Train Now, Live Life is a training service for people in their mid‑life and beyond who want to safeguard their long‑term physical and mental health. My Dad’s diagnosis of vascular dementia showed me how necessary an active lifestyle is for protecting our future health.

Through my research and personal experience, I’ve seen how low activity levels and sedentary habits are major contributors to dementia and other age‑related conditions. Train Now, Live Life’s purpose is to help you build the strength, mobility, and resilience today that will allow you to live a fuller, more independent life as you age.

My mission is to support you in creating sustainable habits and movement that reduces the risk of dementia, falls, and other preventable health issues. To help you stay active, capable, and confident for years to come.

Regular, moderate physical activity in mid and later life is one of the most powerful ways to protect both body and mind. Leading organisations such as Alzheimer’s Society and Dementia UK consistently show that starting now means living better, longer, and with greater quality of life.

Train Now, Live Life is about you having the support and guidance to invest in your future so you can enjoy more years of strength, freedom, and vitality.

Why should I start now?

  • Regular physical activity in mid-life can reduce your risk of developing dementia compared to those who are inactive.
  • Sustained activity in your 40s, 50s, and 60s has the strongest effect—studies show up to a 40% lower risk of dementia for those who stay active.
  • A year of regular exercise can increase the size of your brain’s memory centres, reversing up to 2 years of age-related shrinkage.
  • Not just sports! Everyday activities like brisk walking, gardening, and even housework count towards your brain health.
  • Stronger legs mean a longer, healthier life:
    • Adults with strong legs have up to a 50% lower risk of death compared to those with weaker muscles.
    • Reduced risk of all-cause mortality.
  • Better mobility, balance, and independence:
    • Maintaining leg strength reduces your risk of falls, disability, and hospitalisations as you age.
    • 30% less likely to experience mobility-related disability.
  • Brain benefits:
    • Slower brain aging, better cognitive function and increased brain volume preservation, resulting in enhanced cognitive health.
    • Improved independence.
  • Boost your energy: Regular exercise increases stamina and reduces fatigue.
  • Sleep better: Moderate activity improves sleep quality and duration.
  • Feel happier: Exercise reduces depression, anxiety, and stress, and increases endorphins.
  • Prevent disease: Lower your risk of heart disease, diabetes and osteoporosis.
